Instructions

  • Fasting is preferred.  The Poojan to be done while facing East, North-East or North.

  • No leather wallet, belt or leather write watch should be worn.

  • Quietness is preferred. Please keep all cellphones switched off or on vibration mode.

 

List of Items  & People involved (Please contact if any of the items cannot be found)

  • 3 Bajoth (Chauki), 2 Copper Kalash, Red silk or Velvet clothe (2’ x 4’) to cover Bajoth

  • 4 Steel dish, 8 small steel bowls, 2 steel spoons

  • 24 Sopari (betelnut), 12 Paan leaves, 5 Lb. Rice, ½ Lb. whole wheat

  • Kumkum-Chandan, Nadachhadi (Moli or Kalawa), 3 Janoi

  • Ghee-Gud or Modak, Kheer-Puri for Randal Ma,

  • Dry-fruit Prasadam, 5 Fruits, Water, Panchamrut, 4 Coconuts

  • Akhand Deep (Diya), 2 Deep, Aarti (5 Deep), Incense sticks, Karpur, Match Box, Ghee for Diya

  • Ganesh Idol, Laxmi or Ambika Idols, Loose Flowers, Tulsi, Durwa grass, 8 Dollar bills, 14 Quarter coins

  • Paper Napkins, Cloth Napkins, small Trash Bag, and Big Bowl to get the extra water out.

  • Hawan Kund, Aahuti Dravya, Ghee

  • Rakhee (To tie to a pregnant woman on her wrist by her sister-in-law)

  • A young baby

  • Brother-in-law of a pregnant woman (Typically younger brother of a Husband)

  • Pair of things to offer to Randal Ma (Saree, comb, Bindi, Perfume, Kajal, Ornaments etc.)

  • Purna Aahuti & Agni Visarjan

  • Offering Prasadam, Aarti

  • Final Poojan and Conclusion

  • Five symbolic Garba

  • Gorani Poojan (Typically 13 to 14 Married women are offered due respect through rituals)

  • Traditional Baby Shower Rituals done by ladies of the family
